Via Techcruch: Where did the first 1 million 3G iphones go?
LAFD twitters. So does the Austin TX Police Department. Is this a trend? I see it growing more and more as the various departments can control the followers, do not receive bounce back messages when a follower stops following or their twitter account becomes inactive/disabled (all the reasons inboxes that disseminate agency reporting fill up as soon as they send out new bulletins) and it sure beats having to request grant money, then show it being spent, and then having to follow that all up with justifications to continue the flow from the cash cow. Further, notifying followers instantly ( as seen w/ the recent earthquake in souther California beating out the newswire) schools, hotels, all those that have a vast population at anyone time is something that is trying to be invented. Why not bundle it with every new student?
Highlights of A-Z @ USAToday. Interesting. Good coverage, could use more detail but interesting to read nonetheless.
Twelve Buck computer. Can it be done? I’m sure they will come up with it.
